Shutdown feature request / annoyance

Hi there,

Bought Start8 yesterday and it's really great, but there is one annoyance for me. Previously when I used to shutdown Windows 8.1 I used to right click on the start button and select shut down, which did a full shutdown.  This was important as that's the only way Wake On Lan remains active in Windows 8/8.1. If I used the shutdown in the charms bar, by pressing 'Alt+F4' at the desktop, or by selecting 'shutdown' from the Login menu, then it used to do a fast shutdown that enabled fast startup, but this disabled my wake on lan so I couldn't wake my machine remotely.

Whilst I know that I can click shift+shutdown in start8 to do a full shutdown, and also disable fast-startup to achieve a 'full shutdown' every time, it would be nice if I could change the default behaviour of Start8's shutdown so that clicking the shutdown button does a full shutdown, and clicking shift+shutdown does a fast shutdown. This is because I still want to use that feature sometimes, but don't want to have to remember to use shift+shutdown every other time or lose my ability to wake my machine remotely.

So in summary please make a tick box to change the default behaviour :)

Thanks,

Simon

I suspect it is rather a small set of people that need this, but I will look if we can do anything in the next update perhaps via hidden registry key,

Thank you! appreciate the insight!

I believe it's just the different 'shutdown' commands that stardock passes to Windows... https://forums.stardock.com/435741/page/1/

Sorry, just thought about this and suddenly occured to me that I didn't phrase myself very well

What would be nice would be the option to reverse the current shutdown behaviour. At the moment it's 'shutdown' for normal shutdown and 'shift + shutdown' for full shutdown. It would just be nice to be able to select it to be 'shutdown' for full shutdown' and 'shift + shutdown' for normal shutdown.

Thanks :)
