Happy Australia Day

Jafo...turn yer bloody screen upside down (right side up!) so maybe you'll understand us!

To all our wonderful (and frankly quite bizarre) Aussie friends, Happy Australia Day!

I've given up on your strange dialect, but don't let that bother you!

Have a wonderful day...and hoist a few fer me after yer put the prawns on the barby! :)

For those of us in the correct hemisphere:

Aussies don't cook prawns on a BBQ.

Steaks, chops, snags, burgers and onions maybe...but not prawns....;)

I'm off for a Sunday drive in the Aero....;)

Happy Aussie-day, guys...;)

great shop Doc..

3 Hornets did a double flyover over the Bridge awhile back... always my highlight...

Qantas A380 just done a few rounds over the Bridge... always great to see 'em low and slow...   link..

I see New York's getting in on the act too...   :)      link...

Two cruise ships moored in the middle of the Harbour to watch the ferry races.... and a Navy ship moored in the middle with new helicopters buzzing back and forth from it.... Harbour is abuzzin'....

really looking forward to the Aussie Open Men's Final tonight...  few beers... few snags...  ;)    go Nadal... no, go Wawrinka...no Nadal.. no Wawrinka...

actually, be happy for either of them to win... Wawrinka has been such a fierce player against Novak... given us the best two matches two years in a row... but I would like to see Nadal catch Fed with the 17... he deserves it...

Last night's chic final was joy to watch.... never seen a lass so happy in defeat... what a lovely kid Dominika is.... looking forward to seeing more of her playing...

and Li Na so totally deserved it, especially after last year's final with Azarenka having panic attacks and taking medical time outs.... was a poor show...

worth her winning just to hear her speeches...lol...  a great lesson in sportsmanship from both of them... I hope the likes of Serena and Tomic were watching, and taking notes...  ;)

well, the tennis is so synonymous in Australia with Summer.... January... heat... beach... barbies...tennis... (and the blokes would also say Cricket, but to me, like watching grass grow...can't get into it)..

they certainly got heat down at the Open this year...  first week... 111F during the week... and the women's final last night, 62F... that's Melbourne weather for ya...  ;)

as they say about Melbourne weather... if you don't like... just wait 5 minutes...

Tennis is over...but I was watching England grab defeat from the Jaws of victory in the 5th One Day match [Cricket to you heathens]....

....kinda about time a match actually went down to the wire...like the good old days...;)

.....AND we didn't even need Bevan...;)
