Wow, what kind of ships are you planning to use against the Pirates.

They are after all pirates, they run away if you bring your slow lumbering capital ships, and they'll harass and commandeer fast small ships like frigates and corvettes.

Personally I think your little war is a bit misguided. Pirates have always been a problem in the world. Unless you have UPS (universal positioning systems) in place to track them down, you aren't getting anywhere.

Hell, they might attack your presidential palace for some laughs.

Also I believe a person named Brian would like to speak.

Or this declaration of war could be like what the Torians do all the time. Declare war on behalf of allies and then sue for peace immediatedly afterwards at a huge cost.

Dum dum dum
Dum de dum, dum de dum

Dum dum dum
Dum de dum, dum de dum

Long before the glory days of the Old Republic, the small nascent group of founding members had to contend with a universe ruled by dastardly pirates.

Monkson: Captain and soon-to-be Glorious and Everlasting Emperor of the Republic, a huge blip has just appeared on our sensors! I think it’s a planet.

fogman444: It’s not a planet, damnit! It’s the pirates’ DOOM STAR!

Lifewish: Nooooooooo! We will surely perish under the fury of their disruptor cannons! Let’s run and fight another day!

fogman444: Flee from the evil scourges of the universe? Never! Monkson, full impulse now! Lifewish, charge up our phasers and prime the nuclear warheads. CHARGE!!!!!

Who said we would grant amnesty? I have no intentions to allow or even offer citizenship for any of their top ranks. We will obliterate any outpost, any planet on which they make their base. We will pursue them through the universe, show no mercy, beware the master race is on the rise! >:(

A war? Heh...heh heh....MWA HAHAHAHAHA!!!

LOL ..That was a good laugh. EBZ loves wars, and I'll be more than happy to help G.R.O.S.S. to stomp all over the New Republic.

Btw, it's a war, no rules, we'll get ya every and any way we can, hehe.

Now, if you would liek to gain a intimate knowledge of our weapons of war, simply place both hands over you eyes and count to three. (if any one can guess where that quote came from you can have your next KFD value meal for free ;))

The galaxy has become an increasingly violent place.

The G.R.O.S.S. and The Republic are at war. Neither seem to be winning the war. The Republic will need help to survive or hope for mercy from their enemies. The war has been going on for about 45 minutes and it's not known how much longer it will take to reach final victory.

Terra Ex Machina Today Magazine published yesterday an article pointing out that if you took the economic rating of The Republic and combined it with their military rating and compared it to G.R.O.S.S.'s it would be 95,186 for them and 328,147 for The Republic. Clearly this is chilling news.

Twilight of The Republic?

Critics within The Republic charge that the war against G.R.O.S.S. is going badly. They say this because the combination of their economic might and military power outclasses The Republic's at present. The Republic is not likely to be able to sustain itself against the G.R.O.S.S scoring might. Our population begins to fear for the future of both empires.

President fogman444 of The Republic has already declared that neither amnesty nor mercy will be offered. This may only strengthen the position of G.R.O.S.S. hardliners and hawks in the current administration. EBZeroMatrix of G.R.O.S.S. made a similar declaration of no rules in response.

Hmmm Seems our republic president failed to look at his galactic map. Seem's he'll have to get safe passage through Canadian Star Empire and/Or White council space to even get to the outskirts of our territory. His fleet doesn't have the range to go around. HMMMM. Guess he didn't quite think this one through did he.

Do not worry Russel, we'll let em live... For now. Because we're just that nice. And he is that hilarious. In a laugh at him not with him sort of way.

During a simple diplomatic exchange, PontiusBruinPilot inadvertantly misspelled the first name of the leader of the Terra Ex Machina. Tensions have spiraled out of control and this morning the G.R.O.S.S. received a note from the Terra Ex Machina that only war would teach them manners. Critics of G.R.O.S.S have argued that if they had only spent some resources on espionage that this could have been averted by greater understanding of the Terra Ex Machina culture.

100% of the voting population re-elected me president russellmz2:
as a minor power with a total population of one, the terra ex machina is not even on most galactic maps. the fools will not be able to find us(well, just me since there is only one person)!

Wow, I was almost caught up in the frenzy of battle... but I never made it past the second word. I guess I should have stayed in the phonics program a little bit longer.

Well Pontius, maybe he plans to fly half way and throw rocks?

Tap tap. Is this Universal Translator on? We must have missed the punch line. Why would we agree to this?

Our civilization is what you'd call a 'minor race'. We do not have grand plans of galactic conquest. We simply want to live and let live.

Nice to know I made your deck of cards, too. I am already the Ace of Spades in the ANZAC deck. :HOT:

Did those mages cast a befuddlement spell on you, great leader of the Republic, or did the boss just yank your chain a little too much? Or is it the fact that your election cycle went south because, as I have stated, you folks are warriors at heart. Your politics are just tricks to keep the masses happy and to hide the real agenda.

Looks like it is a good thing that yours truly, the Spymaster, has kept an eye on the Republic. I think you folks have potential, and I will love to help raid you later, but there are plenty of problems far bigger for GROSS to worry about right now. For example, that ghost ship of undead Canadians that is dogging us. :notsure:

Sure thing. RUSSELL. Thank you for paying your tribute. We will let live.. For now.

I think he's just gonna go to bed with his Yoda dolly and his luke skywalker jammies and call it a night.

I think it's because I said the Yoda Light sabre duel in attack of the clones reminded me of the killer rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Either that or when I pointed out we all owned the republic and therefore our votes counted as that of his citizens and thus Ray was winning 5-0 in their elections.

Oh well. The chain yanking puppeteer strikes again. Another one owned. HEHE.

As leader of the Whiskey Rebellion, I hereby state our neutrality towards all sides in this conflict.

We hope only to supply you all with hard liquor or fizzy girly drinks depending of course on your preference.

Our freighters should be arriving shortly...

That map, as all GalCiv players know, is in 2 dimensions. We plan to utilize recent breakthroughs in multidimentional physics and recent advances in superstring theory, along with some slightly refined equations describing Einstein's space-time continuum which will enable us to travel in the 3rd dimension, thus catching you totally offguard. :SURPRISED:

You mean you don't see the third dimension in the map? Your perception is quite limited.
Furthermore, you forget, this is galciv. Opening the 4th dimension only gets you +1 speed in this metaverse.

I think that everyone can agree that hard liquor of cute girls are a worthwhile contribution to any conflict- especially if they come to us... LOL

Well you did have free passage to the galactic mustang ranch untill your predident so boneheadedly declared war.

Since this place has a lot of people mulling around, I might as well ask- does anyone here build battlecruisers ? Complete distortion of the topic I know, but I personally find them to be to weak (low HP, bonuses and all) and tend to lean heavily on battle hammers...

The patriot of the Terra ex Machina greet your trade negotiation committee by throwing rotting garbage and insults. The committee members barely escape with their lives and their merchandise and decide to try a star system which is not inhabited by someone who doesn't like the taste of alcohol.
