Quest Bugs...Totally Quest Bugs

Is there a developer code that allows you to access the individual quests and force them to proceed to the next link? I'm now stuck with 10 bugged quests and can't finish the Master Quest as a result. I'm also not able to go past Chapter Five in the Legendary Enchantress scenario because the game doesn't register that you killed the troops around the ruins properly. Massively annoyed doesn't even BEGIN to describe it. And yes, it's version 1.5

Addendum:

I will try your suggestion of being more specific about the quests and see what happens. I know that one of the quests that malfunctioned was the one about getting the farmer's daughter from the slavers and returning her. I got the farmgirl unit, and put her in my party, but when I go the generation spot, nothing, not a peep. Specifics - (Slaver's Objective: Escort the girl home.) On arrival at the family farm square, nothing happens. Others that I can recall are the obsidian shield quest (The Armorers Forge) where it does nothing when you go to the relevant square....what MAY cause the problem there is I already had an obsidian shard, so the next stage of the quest may not have started properly)  and the taking the noble girl home quest in exchange for an ignys bow...even with her in the party, the square I am directed to (noble estate, I think it was) does nothing. Unfortunately, it's not just those quests, either, some "break" and malfunction on a random basis. I've even had the Master Quest malfunction, by either moving to the dragonrider square after breaking down the last gate doing nothing, or the game does not proceed to the ending when you kill him. Lastly, with both scenarios, the end movie does not play after the last battle in the scendario, not sure why. I'm fairly sure it's the end of the scenario in the anthys (?) scenario, when your reach the Forge)  and defeat the enemy army. I DO so hope people don't think of making a lot out of nothing, but these bugs are massively aggravating, and it would be nice to get them cleared up with a preliminary hotfix, or if it must be, the next patch, which I hope will be soon or sooner. I REALLY enjoy this game, I've been with Stardock since the galactic civilization 1 days, and hope that Stardock will continue to show their fine technical prowess in getting this cleared up. Thank you for takting the time to read this missive, and God biless.

Hey anc40,

A. The quests you mention have generally been working fine for me. So, the first thing I would do is verify the integrity of your game cache

1) Go to your Steam Library

2) Right-Click on "Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes"

3) Select "Properties"

4) "Local File" tab

5) Verify integrity of game cache

NOTE: This will (among others) undo/reset the change you made to your ElementalDefs.xml file concerning the MaxActiveQuests (25). You will need to do it again once the verification process is done.

B. Quest_Slavers

- Once you get the girl, a NEW location will spawn (Family Farm), you have to return the girl to that specific location, not the original location where you got the quest.

C. Quest_TheObsidianShield

- Once you get the quest, a NEW location will spawn (The Armorer's Forge). This is where you bring the Midnight Stone (Doesn't matter if you already had one in your inventory).

D. Quest_EscortNoblewoman OR Quest_TheRaidersBribe

- The Estate graphic is used in other quests (Such as Quest_AssassinBlade). In other words, make sure you are at the right estate.

This is all I can think of at the moment.

Thank for your response. I'll try the integrity thing as soon as I can.

Slavers: I misspoke, I DID take her to the newly spawned Family Farm location. No response. As a side note, I tried exiting the game and reloading my save. The quest worked properly after that. Strange.

Obsidian Sheild: I tried killing a nearby Obsidian Golem to see if that got the quest to work properly. It appears to have worked, I was able to go to the forge and get the obsidian shield.

Escort Noblewoman: I did in fact go the correct estate. I clicked on the quest tab on the left and it took me to the correct place, except nothing happened. It was from a different game, so I am unable to try what worked with slavers. If I get this quest in a future game and it hiccups, I will try the exit/reload strategy and see what happens.

Now however, other quests are malfunctioning., and I have an even worse game-killing problem The Panca Archers quest from the Refugees (which I might add worked just fine when I was running the game previously. I will try the exit/reload and see what happens.

The dragon's eye quest where you have to get the dragon's eyes (appears to be) partially bugged.  When you kill  the air elementals in the temple, it doesn't update to reflect the fact. the quest icon at the left still says investigate the temple. I might add that this is the second playthrough this has happened.

A lot of these quest bugs I am having seem to be somewhat random. I suspect a memory allocating error of some kind, but with 8 GIGs of DDR2 RAM, you wouldn't think it would be a problem.

Lastly and this is the more drastic problem, my current save does not allow me to end turn. I can press the end turn button all day and nothing happens. Strange, no? It's rather frustrating, as I'm getting close to the Alliance ending I haven't gotten yet (I've gotten the other 3 endings, Maste Quest, Spell of Master, and Military Victory). I'm hoping to find a way to unstick myself so I can finish this ending type. I might add, again, that this is the second playthrough that has happened.

All of these problems may be fixed with a verify integrity routine. We'll have to wait and see.

Anyways, thanks, ever so, for being so patient in hearing me out. It's always nice when one gets tips from the stable, as they say.

God bless, and have a pleasant Sunday.

I remember the only quest bugs I've encountered are the plague one where you go to the Lich's lair and choose to come back later, only to have the quest location completely disappear and be impossible to complete, and the assassin's blade one, where I had to google to realise I need to unequip the blade before it triggers. The rest should be mostly fine.

This unequipping -feature is also part of the Obsidian Shield -quest.
