JustPurchased and Not Working

Just purchased start8 and it installed two programs launch and star8, launch works but I can not get star8 to show the start button and when I click on star8 it asks me to register, the only serial number on file is for launch8, I don't understand how to get the start8 button to show. I called support and have not head back yet. Looking for help, thanks.

It sounds like you may have accidentally purchased Launch8 rather than Start8.  That would explain why you have a serial for that.

If you e-mail support on support@stardock.com they should be able to sort it.

Had a similar problem i.e, Start8 not starting after upgrading to Windows 8.1 Pro. The following is what worked for me. I went to the Start8tweak.exe folder in C:\ProgramFiles\Stardock\Start8. After clicking on that folder, the following window Start8 Advanced Tweaks appeared. I then placed a check mark against “Start8 should be enabled in this user account” and my Start8 application started. Hope this solution helps.
