Running Start8 V 1.3 with Windows 8.1 and get multiple mail windows opening. Other oddities, but that's the big one.
Do you mean ModernMix rather than Start8?
Uninstall ModernMix, reboot and then download and install the latest version of ModernMix.
I've seen the same thing, when modern mix installs, both that and start 8 fails to run. In services.msc, both go from auto to manual and will not start automatically. If I set start 8 to auto run alone, it will work, but modern mix of course would be disabled. As soon as I set modermix to auto run, then next time I reboot, the computer will log on, automatically log off, then I log on again, both have gone back to disabled. Something is definitely not working. System works fine on bootcamp, but not on parallels.
Trebuin: If you are using Parallels you MUST enable the Windows 7 style option in the Parallels menus. If that is disabled Parallels itself will be disabling the services because it thinks you do not want them running.
