Replace "This PC" with "My Computer"

I've recently started using Windows 8.1 with Start8.

When I click on the start button, on the right side of the menu that pops up, there are the usual entries I know from Windows 7:

Documents

Pictures

Music

Games

This PC

Control Panel

Devices and Pointers

Help and Support

How can I rename "This PC," with "My Computer" (or just "Computer")?

Thanks for the help with this one. It's probably something very simple and obvious, but I haven't stumbled upon it, and I really did spend some time googling the matter.

You should be addressing your query to Microsoft - they have changed "Computer" to "This PC" in 8.1

You can rename it by going to the desktop in explorer (open an explorer window, click desktop on the list on the left).  Then right clicking on "This PC" and selecting rename.  Pick a name you would like and then sign out.  When you sign in again it should be changed.

Thanks, Neil; that did the trick.

mogojohn, you're correct, of course, that Microsoft is responsible for changing the name to "This PC." Odd that they'd do this, given the high priority MS placed on keeping Windows 8/8.1 consistent with previous Windows operating systems. <insert sarcasm tag HERE?
