Start8 don't startup with Windows, after update to 8.1

After starting the system, I have the start button of Windows 8.1, not start8. I've tried reinstalling the program, but it does not help :(
From what I know, the start button in Windows 8.1 can't be deactivated, so start8 must overwrite the existing start button. Do you have any idea how to fix it?

Which version of Start8 did you install?  For Windows 8.1 support you need Start8 1.17 or later and the latest is version 1.3.

Could you check in taskmanager and see if you have Start8Srv.exe running and Start8_64.exe. (on the details tab)

I am using the latest version 1.30. However, in details tab, I have only Start8_64.exe.

Well if that is started then the service has started too as that's started by the service.

I would recommend contacting support@stardock.com so they can collect more information as yours is the first report I have seen of anything like this.

Thank you for your help. Already I fixed the problem. I uninstalled the program, I have removed all other files that are left in the folder, cleaned the registry and installed a program from scratch, in the default position. Now it works perfectly :)
