Win 8.1, can we have an option to KILL the new MS start button?

It's not a seamless merge of the new MS start button & start8's alternative, can wed have the option of 1 or the other ? There are various apps that will run on startup to kill the MS Start button, but that's a clumsy fix

Umm the Microsoft button is replaced by the Start8 one.

When are you seeing the other one?

I have the same problem that the WIndows 8.1 "Start Button" is showing if i move the mouse to the lower left corner

I have found the fix to "remove" the Windows 8.1 Start button.

 

Open the configuration of Start8

Go to Desktop and check "deactivate lower left corner..."

 

After that the orginila Windows 8.1 StartButton will not longer showing

This should be the default in Start8 already.

This option only seems to work if you have the taskbar along the bottom of the screen, if you have it down the left side of the screen the Start button still pops up, obscuring the Show/Peek Desktop button
