Boxxi, is it really so bad that some people run cracked copies of Stardock software? I did so myself for three months before I decided the product was good enough to pay for.

Ok, I understand why it's bad if someone keeps using it and never pays. Truth is, I didn't even know there WAS a trial version. I simply ran across a mention of the program at either download.com or cnet.com and went to a warez site to try it out.

Using a cracked version at all is theft, and a violation of the Program's terms of use. It doesn't matter whether it's only temporary or not. My intention to buy a new car does not legitimize my stealing of one for a joy-ride just to see if I like the smell of the upholstery.
Software 'cracking' can be an educational test of a person's coding 'skills'....I know my Brother-in-law's teacher had him cracking games, etc....now he's a quite capable programmer in a number of languages, systems administrator for banks, etc....so it 'could be' a learning curve, but otherwise, theft....

Ah...found a dl for Kjofol....hopefully it'll be a better/newer version than the one I had here still.....Hendrix wants his songs 'right'....

Well, we differ on this one. I think using cracked versions is ok for evaluating a product as long as you decide to buy the product or get rid of the cracked version before too long.

Ah....Kjofol 2000b2 seems to be toeing the line and behaving....now I'll have to update my 3 year old skin for it...

Jobeleca....agree or not, you'll have to understand that the promotion of warez, particularly of Stardock product, on Wincustomize won't be considered in a 'good' light, and has been the cause of the odd exiling or three from here.

The admins primarily 'running' this site may not be paid or employed by Stardock, but, as with any Company, Stardock has Employees who also like to eke out a living without fear of subversive missuse/abuse of there hard-worked-on product.
Perhaps because I 'know' them I find my stance eminently more defensible.
The time taken to find and DL a 'hack' could have been better spent locating the 'trial' version, that's all...

Pitch controls are good....even Bucks Fizz could sound 'heavy' at the right pitch....

i liked kjofol, but i think it died out. the skins were pretty decent...well...some of them...

K-Jöfol kicked the bucket when its dev joined the ranks of (surprise surprise) Nullsoft, to work on WinAmp3. Which is why WinAmp3 has a K-Jöfol skin.
