"Please Wait" Screen

I have tried to create the "Please Wait" Image but it does not appear. I am using a bmp image. I have done this before on different skins. I'm running Win7 64 bit. WB 7.42 version - any assistance?

which skin?

Is there an animation over it perhaps, where as before it was just an image?

Check that section for an animation, if so, you will have to delete the nwa file from the skin folder.

You could check the text settings to see if that image has been pushed off the screen also.

Also check the extra settings for x and y changes.

Did you try using other file extensions such as PNG JPG ?
Windows7 is not that much of the need to have bitmaps...
Set your up  your image then set your animation...
Then go to animation "rider" extra settings set animation framerate to at least 1
x offset 0 y offset 0
allignment 2 and 2
apply test...
If not working your "image" has a to high value
Image "rider" extra settings set both to 0 if you have a fullscreen image.
save apply...

Agreed. PNG is the best format as background can be transparent and Logo/text or image can have it´s own shape contrasting the screen background when loading :sun:

Yep, like Andrew said, the Please Wait image must be a PNG, nothing else will work. Just so you know though Andy, JPG's will not work for anything in SkinStudio as far as I know. Only .BMP's in certain areas and .PNG's. :)

Thanks guys, I will look into each reply and let you know. As far as animation - no there wasn't.

Creating and importing the same image in PNG did the trick but I really don't know why as I have done this with BMP images but no matter. Thanks for the other tips everyone.

strange JPG works just fine here
Of course you will end in having a fullscreen no transparency pic then but works
