I wonder if skinners are spreading the word about skinning.

140 characters, it's what I've got on my sites and I tweet it too.

If you have a way to spread the skinning philosophy then feel free to use my short but hopefully descriptive description.

Digital customizing, Skinning for short. Skinning is a way to cover your start menu, frames and task bar using software called WindowBlinds.

We can always make room for more skinners in the community...

I believe there are enough people with the graphic skills to make a WindowBlind here. 

I also figure there are three main reasons they don't attempt it.

1. There are so many great skins available they say why bother.

2. Time could be a problem.

3. They are just plain afraid.

 

If one has graphic skills and uses Kitty's tutorial a WindowBlind can be made. From there one could improve and learn more things with their next one. There are already some people here I know could do it but I think fear stops them. Why I don't know. Help is always available as we all have seen like with Po's WB which hopefully he will be able to complete some day.

Although that's topical/appropriate for Stardock's No.1 software it's quite overly narrow.

Skinning is what 'it is called' to redraw the graphics of a computer's OS and/or individual software applications.

That's a wee bit closer...;)

Just bummed at my latest download total ,pace, for midland is all, no biggie.Besides, I have a family here{the Addams Family}, but a family, so just kidding about my spot.

On topic.

 

I talk about my wb works, at work, where there are about  1000 people, and maybe found one person who thought they heard of wb or stardock and one who for sure knew.The second one even new Vamps of course. But not little me, so sad, cry cry.

 

SO, word could be spread better.Then again, I do not want to wait a month in line for the moderation process.Good with the bad.

 

I post at DA, site is to large and messy for the novice.
