Monster hero not able to wear armer

Not sure if monster heroes (ogres, cats, etc.) are "designed as intended" to not be able to wear armor.  The skill to wear mail or plate is available to select as they level up; however after acquiring the skill, the hero is still unable to wear armor.

It would be nice though if they had those traits already so that you didnt have to spend a level to get past them.

Would be cool to have armor on a big cat too.   Im not asking for that much though.  Just an annoyance.

I thought this might be the case, it would be nice if they remove that skill so you don't waste precious point on it.  Since these monster share the same template as "humans" heroes' it begs to question what other skills "aren't suppose to work" other than armor with monster heroes?
