[Feature request] Ready to play

Please make a signal when the game is ready for the user to play the next turn.  Maybe an audible ding-ding or a popup.

Should be an option since not needed in the early game.

I agree with this.  The game allows you to interact with it before it's your turn, but doing so has a high chance of crashing it.  It would be nice to know when it's safe to do things.

Talking about late-game of course when the turns take endlessly long right?

Happens pretty fast too on huge/large maps.

I agree would be neat.

I would not like the game to ding at me every single turn.  That would get old very very very fast.

Perhaps changing the end turn button from solid color to greyed out during the time when you are not supposed to do anything and the game isn't ready would work.

Lol.  I dont want to see that button greyed out ever again.  I've had enough of that crap.  Just make it unusable while the AI does its thing.

Hm actually smeagol has a valid point. That means it should, if implemented, be an optional feature.

You mean like the OP suggested?

Well .. yes, Darxim.

But I'd better like another option for me:

The game continues to take turns until I tell it to stop. Something like a lock on mode much like the "run forward forever" in Skyrim.

Would make some of my grinding games much faster

doesn't the game run that way already?   I turned on the pause at end of turn option but doesn't it continously continue if you don't do that?

Hm you mean Auto turn? I have that disabled. Maybe.. Assuming I have no units on the map (all stationed in cities) and all cities have build-queues, will Auto-Turn proceed the game until something happens? Like e.g. a fight or an empty build-queue?

I believe that's how it works, the clock turns until you have a unit with no orders or a city with no build queue

Plus you can turn off auto-turn when you don't want it anymore, mid-game.

That's why I said

"Should be an option since not needed in the early game."
