Building an outpost...

I'm use to playing galactic civ and when I build a mining facility I could direct the flow to any planet I wanted.

I'm wondering if I can choose which city my outpost are associated with.

Is that possible?

And what are those little creatures that come from magic nodes? I got a few of them they are pretty weak can they get any better with time?

Resources like metal, food from fields, and mana from shards just go into a global pile.  I think the only way outposts can help a specific city is by the upgrades (Consulate for population, maybe the Armory and Foritification bonuses). Other than that, the city that an outpost is connected to just provides the build queue for said upgrades and resources.

I assume you are playing Ceresa/Resoln if you are getting elemental creatures from shards?  They get stronger as they level up.

Cool thanks

I was wondering about outpost because I wanted to build a mine but it queued in the wrong city the other city was not doing anything and I was hoping it would queue from there.

outposts and resources are always connected to and produced by the nearest city, you cannot change that.

It's because of the faction trait "Binding". You get better creatures if you upgrade the shards, but even the early ones are very good to keep pressure on an enemy and to scout the map.

There you go I never thought to use them to scout the map.

I brought them in my towns and Assumed my villagers were running with fear...

I'm so nice with my own people...
