Yet another plea to update and incorporate SysStats into ObjectDock

Please update the now-open-source SysStats so that it works with the current version of ObjectDock.  I need real-time info on what's going on in my system, and having that info in a dock would be great.

Since upgrading to Windows 8, I've had to rely on 8Gadget Tools and its included meters to provide system info.  The stuff created for SysStats over the years, however, is much better looking and easier to read at a glance.

If a SysStats update isn't possible or probable, then please create a new set of system monitor docklets for use with ObjectDock.

Thanks,

Jeff

I've not used systats for years.

How is it not working?

If you run OD as an administrator under Windows 8, you can add a SysStats docklet.  If you don't run as admin, OD crashes as soon as you select SysStats from the docklet list.

Even if you run OD as admin, context-clicking the SysStats docklet on the dock and selecting Load (to load a meter theme/icon) will crash OD.  It's 100% repeatable on my system.

I haven't tried completely disabling UAC, but I shouldn't have to, I don't think.

PS - sorry for not responding sooner, but apparently "Subscribe to this post" doesn't mean the same thing as "Email me when someone replies".

Third party docklets are, of course, not supported but I'll see if someone can take a look at sysstats.

Thanks, Zubaz.  The non-third-party option, of course, would be to develop a native system monitor docklet.  :-)
