Windows OS 64-bit shortcuts in Folder as menu OD shortcuts

Hi:

Does anyone knows if Stardock is going to address the problem of having an OD shortcut that points to a folder (with the "Show folder in menu" checked) which contains shortcuts to 64-bit programs that resides in "C:\Program Files".

When the folder OD shortcut is pressed and a 64bit program is selected from the folder menu, OD has problems resolving the location of the program and treats the program as a 32-bit program and tries to locate it in the "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder.

These has been happening several years now and still it hasn't been solved.

Please let us know if there's hope in the resolution of this.  Making temporary fixes like creating symbolic links in "c:\Program Files (x86)" to folders in "C:\Program Files" is cumbersome and not the right way to do it.

Thanks.

If you drag the EXE from the directory to OD, does it still not work?

(Dragging from the start menu may not)

I'm having the same problem also with the error:

Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.

Even when accessing 32 bit programs in the (x86) folder.

I'm trying to replicate the problem but I don't see where it says to 'show folder in menu'. Looked all around in settings.

Check out this thread, maybe you will find some working solution to yourself. I have the same problem and reported it months ago, sadly none of those workarounds work for me ..
