activation failure

Hi, I used the Start8 free trial successfully and purchased when it ran out, but I can't get it activated. I have uninstalled twice and the same thing happens. When I put in my serial number, I get a pop-up that says "the activation program could not communicate with the server." It's not a firewall or connection problem and I have added Start8 to the allowed app list. Can anyone tell me how to get this activated? I hate this OS without Start8!

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately, that is a different error message, so I don't have the option for offline registration. I'll out in a ticket. Thanks again!
