Some aspects of windowed applications are displayed full screen.

Some aspects of windowed applications are displayed full screen and cannot be displayed windowed.

An example of this is adding an attachment to an e-mail using the Microsoft Mail application - this is always displayed full screen and cannot be displayed windowed.

The file dialogs were left as fullscreen because they are so space inefficient that making them windowed did not seem to be a good idea.  Plus they are only open for brief periods of time.

I agree the file dialogs are space inefficient and probably would not display well windowed. However, is there a possibility the user could have control over this behaviour?
