WC Browser not updating skin libraries?

There have been a bunch of updates to the libraries and they're not showing up in my WC Skinbrowser. It hasn't updated since a few days ago, but all other aspects of the program seem to be updating normally (news, discussion). Why did I pay $20 for this again?

Anybody else having this problem? Anybody know what the problem could be? I'm about to ask for my money back.

It asks you every 7 days if you want to update your libraries. If you want to update, go into view and select refresh libraries.

Are you refreshing the updates for the data base and the library under the 'view' button?

I haven't really had this problem. One thing to try is to close SB, delete all the temp files, the wincustomize cookie, all the temp junk that SB uses. Then fire up SB again. All the libs should re-dl and all *should* be right again.

Yeah....I just did as Wise Old Man suggested. It finally worked after a few restarts of WC browser & doing that refresh a few more times. I'm not sure what the problem was? I did not know I had to manually refresh the library list but it still did not work until the 3rd or 4th try. Thank you for your help I appreciate it.

Of course, they could simply make sure it worked right in the first place. But without buggy software why would you pay for upgrades? Microsoft learned this particular trick years ago.

Not 'buggy' software when it is a simple procedure that one can do easily enough, and subscribers don't pay for upgrades. >

Jobeleca, when's the last time you got a direct support answer from an actual human being at microsoft within and hour and without having to pay for it? I must say I think the option should be enabled for less than 7 days or make a setting for it and hopefully they will But in any case my prime goal by purchasing this was to support the site. I know how it is running a site that sucks up a lot of bandwidth. My site only consumes about 10gb a day which I'm sure is less than WC but I can relate. Anyway my point is you are here using their software most likely so show a little support

Let's try to keep in mind that the Skin Browser, Premium Skins, Text Ads, etc. are all perks of subscribing to Wincustomize. The browser is still under development, and yes it still is not perfect. But the reason we are subscribing is to support this site to make sure it is here for everyone to enjoy for years to come. Having unlimited access to this site is worth $10 USD per year alone, the added goodies are a thank you.

My 2 cents for what it's worth.... btw, Thank you WC for all you do for us!

Bill - I think it's a bit presumptuous of you to state "the reason we are subscribing." While I too am glad to help out with the site, the main reason why I subscribed was for the browser. At the time there wasn't even the free version they have now.

Now that I think of it maybe it was....

I guess I could correct it to: "...the reason I am subscribing..."

But I think I could find numerous people here who feel as I do. I subscribed when I was on 98SE and the skin browser was a 2000/XP only app. I think it is a nifty program but I still prefer to be here on a browser. I have no idea what I would ever do with a text ad, but I am really looking forward to the premuim skins from what I've seen so far.

I guess whatever your reasons are at least people are subscribing and that is a good thing!
