Desktop Icons

I have the latest (registered) version 2.10 installed. I have set Firefox to save and download directly to desktop.When I download something it does not show on desktop screen. I have to open My Computer>Desktop to access my downloads. Also, if I create a shortcut the same condition applies. This was not happening in the past versions of Objectdock. Do I need to change something in settings?

PS. I use Win8 pro x64.

Are You sure You don't have any other program running that is set to hide desktop icons ? Or did You install fences ?

Along with the obvious setting in the OS desktop context menu (view) Winstep and WFX will both hide/show desktop icons. Are you using either of those programs?

ObjectDock does not interact with teh desktop icons in any way.  Time to look somewhere else.

do you have any icons always showing on the desktop screen ?

do you have already too many icons on the dektop and no more space for new ones ?
