Windownlinds 8 or Start8 Problem??

Look at my first picture. This is one that shows problems reading the right hand panel of the start menu.

In the second picture, you see the same set up, but it looks perfect, I am thinking because of the darkness of the wallpaper behind it.

I am going crazy trying to fix this. Tried various settings in windowblinds and start8.

What I do know for sure is that if I unload windowblinds the problem does not show in the start8 menu. Please help.

I have a feeling this might be Start8 getting confused about what mode you are in.  If you pick a brighter desktop wallpaper does the problem remain?

We plan an update for Start8 which addresses a few of the skinning quirks so hopefully we can reproduce it and fix it with that.

Neil,

Thanks for the response. I was not able to reproduce the problem today. All seems "normal". Not sure what is different. I tried with lighter background, brighter background, and same background. It just works right this evening. I will let you know if I see it again by re-posting in this thread.

Problem had not re-presented this morning. This evening, however, is another story....

In this screenshot, notice a problem when using a lighter background (white is even worse)....

In the next one, you can see it's fine with a dark background....

Neil, if you are viewing this, have you been able to duplicate the problem? Is there a fix coming soon?

Thanks in advance!

Nope - the workaround listed in the other thread did not work. I really hope this can be fixed. It's difficult to read my start menu, or at least the right hand panel. Anybody else having this problem with either a light background or when opening the start menu over something light, like a light  background in a browser or even just windows explorer file manager?

Installed the beta update of Start8 and so far. so good. I'll see if it "sticks".
