Expired notice inspite of having purchased Fences

I purchased Fences after the 30 day trial.  I downloaded the software and obtained the serial number which shows in my account.  However,  whenever I boot up my system - it keeps telling me my Fences Trial has expired and gives me a window to Purchase etc.  I have win7 with MS Office 2010.  How do I fix this?  It's irritating.

It sounds like you have not activated Fences yet.

take a look at https://esupport.stardock.com/index.php?/default_import/Knowledgebase/Article/View/421/115/how-to-activate-fences

There is nothing impossibly complicated about this process, its like hurdle jumping. Pure nonsense, how about Stardock making things simpler for a change?

I agree with Navay - it seems incredibly convoluted.  I did try activating Fences - but everytime I get the pop-up form for my email/password and copy the serial number into the text box field - it tells me there was an error.  I've tried multiple ways to activate - my next effort will be to un-install then re-install - but was hoping not to have to do that.  I got this .txt file I"m supposed to upload somehwere, but get an error with that as well.  In the Home page I see no link that says 'activate Fences'.  I've also tried the offline method to activate as well as read the notes that I had to go to another URL to read.  So,  as I said before - I"m at a loss and keep running into problems.

PS - I did all that as you explain before I sent my original post - and I get an error 1.  to try again later as it coulnt'd connect (or something similar) and then 2. when I do the offline activation -  that that the uplod failed on submit.

It appears you are rtrying to activate from within a domain. . . and the domain you are in is VERY restrictive.

If your your network admin can open up traffic to the following locations the issue will be resolved:

http://locale.api.stardock.net port 80
https://account.api.stardock.net port 443
https://install.api.stardock.net port 443
http://activate1.stardock.com port 80

Otherwise, because of the network restrictions, you can send the text file that was generated to support@stardock.com and we can send you back a license file.

I will send the text ile to the support team as suggested above.  I just tried again to activate while NOT connected to the vpn, and rec'd the same error as before.  'There was a problem uploading the document.  Please try again later.
