SoaSE Trinity updating

I am trying to update my retail version of SoaSE Trinity from v.1 to v1.37. I downloaded the patch after a lot of trouble trying to register the game but when it downloaded and I hit install, a window popped up telling me it can not find SoaSe Trinity on my system and to try re-installing it. I re-installed the game only for the same thing to happen. I would really appreciate some help on this. Thank you.

I wonder if the problem was ever resolved. I'm having the same problem.
