WB and JASC Paint Shop Pro 9

I did a search and see this is a known problem with no reported solution. So I am posting to see if it's been addressed.

JASC Paint Shop Pro 9 crashes under Windowblinds. I am using Win 7 64 bit.

Here's the thing: I am NOT willing to update my Paint Shop to the Corel version, as I am happy with the JASC older version, and am very fast with it. No other program gives me any problems with it, so it's a deal breaker for Windowblinds. If I can't get JASC PSP to work, I will have to uninstall WB. Changing compatibility settings for PSP has no effect. Uninstalling WB fixes it.

Any ideas?

Have you tried excluding it from skinning?

After doing that you need to apply a WB skin to have the settings take effect.

I use PSP7, which works fine. Although, I wasn't able to see the psp pictures in explorer. I have PSP10 installed which lets me see the pictures, but I have PSP7 as my default graphics program. I'm mentioning this in case you have psp7 otherwise I'm just rambling.

Dunno if it helps, but I used to use Jasc PSP 9 and it won't run in aero. It will turn off DWM while it's running.

Used to put Vista into "basic" mode every time I launched it. Maybe there's a connection there, somewhere?
