Start 8 is really good - I bought it and highly recommend it.

Start8 works very well on my computer (Intel i3).

I've tried both Classic Shell and Start8. Both are very good. Classic Shell has a slightly different feature set. Start8 "integrates" a bit more nicely than Classic Shell, and looks better. I highly recommend both, but I lean a bit more to Start8. Do not let the five bucks stop you. It is only fair to pay a bit, and the program is totally, totally worth it. It makes Windows 8 usable, is completely stable, and works just like the Start menu, only with more customizability; it is nice looking, the colours match, and is easy to install and use.
