[0.92] Scenario - The warning message about the big statues arrives after the battle

Hello,

In the scenario, there are 2 big statues protecting the path to the forge of the Overlord.

Well, it's only after you approach them and they attack you, after the batlle is won, that you receive a message from the queen if I remember well, that warns you that you should be carefull with those statues cause they are not simple statues, they can move.

It would be better if this message would appear before the battle, when you are, for example, 2 squares from those statues.

hmm that problem was reported about a week ago and Derek said he fixed it. did you start a new game after the 0.91 or 0.92 patch or did you continue a game that was started under version 0.90 ? the save games contain most/all XMl data, so a game that was started as a .90 game will still contain the bugs/typos that were adressed in the meantime.

EDIT: you can check the version of that save game in the Load menu, btw. when you hover over a savegame, the first item in the tooltiptext is the game Version of that save game. that version is persistent, even if you update the game in the meantime.

Ok thanks. Yes, indeed, I started from a save made on version 0.9 so that's why I still have the issue.

I think it is hilarious if it were left the other way and the dialogue was switch to say... Oh yeah did I forget to mention that those statues move ;)

... or the messenger was to 'frady cat' to get close enough to deliver the message... until it was safe...

That's wired : I've started a new game this morning, with version 0.92 (not from an old save), and I've just went through the gate with the statues and I'm affraid the message still arrives AFTER the 2 statues have been killed.

So, this bug is not fixed.

Also, I agree with parrottmath, it would be funny to let this bug in the game and simply change the text to have it say something funny like "Oups, I just remember I forget to tell you that those statues move".

Hmm... seems to work fine for me.  Please send me a save and I'll check it out.

Were the statues set in the mountain when you first saw them, or were they standing in the middle of the pass?
