Modern Mix (apparently) boots me out of my application

I installed Modern Mix.  Now when I try to run my application, it runs for about 30 seconds and then it boots me out of the application and into the desktop environment, also shutting down the application that i was running.  This happens whether I run the application full screen or F10 into a Windows 8 window.  If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.  For now, I'm going to have to uninstall Stardock ModernMix.  Nice idea, but from my perspective, it doesn't work.  At least I only invested $5.  Too bad, I could really use this feature.

Oh, and I ended up buying it, only because the free trial install didn't work.

We've had no reports of what you describe.

Please download and run the following utility: http://sd.stardock.com/SDSupportTool.exe

This is a tool that we use to gather relevant log files and basic information about your computer. Once the utility finishes running, please send the .zip file it creates on the desktop to support@stardock.com
