When an application adds a new shortcut to the Desktop and Fences is running, the shortcut doesn't show on the Desktop. The .lnk file is in my Desktop folder, but it doesn't show on-screen. What settings do I need to change, or is this a bug?
Make sure you do not have any specific rules set up that are possibly placing the icons on and alternate Desktop Page (Fences config, Sorting / organizing). Also, you might want to try restoring to a previous 'snapshot' to see if this resolves your issue.

Worst case, you can, on the same config menu, 'Perform automatic layout'.
