[.90 BUG] Research tree for Resoln missing the shrine upgrade icons and info on tech tree

Research tree bugged for Resoln

With .90, the magic research tree for resoln completely misses the shard upgrades. Not only the icons miss from their branches Immortal Codex and Ereog's Journal, but there is also listed that you get no benefit from researching either of the branches.

Yet in game after building the shrine, you can't upgrade it because it does require a tech you can't use (even if you research it, you gain nothing). This makes Resoln unplayable in current patch (upgrading shards to reap the increased benefits is crucial for a spellcasting faction with no armor).

BUMP.

Also, the power gains in shards from upgrading (played with Queen Procipinee this time) doesn't update on top of info screen. If I have a an earth shard, and research immortal codex and upgrade it, it should read 2 instead of one according to description (earth power season 1 > +1). Otherwise is hard to tell how much your spells are affected by the shards and their bonuses from the spell book (which doesn't give you an estimate of overall benefits, just states the basic +1 damage per shard or w/e).

I'm not sure what you're getting at here, but I think you misunderstand what upgrading shards does.  It only grants you +1 mana per upgrade (and stronger elementals, if you have the Binding trait).  Going from an earth altar to an earth temple will not give you more than one earth power for a single shard.

As for the tech tree bug, I have seen it as well with a custom faction that had Binding, but as of .87 was still able to upgrade and receive better summons after the appropriate techs.  Haven't tested for .9, however.

Please read the description, it says mana per seasons +2, air power +1 for air shrine upgraded from air altar.

If they only provided additional mana, then it would read Provides: +2 mana. All upgrades are cumulative in the game.

Except buildings.  If you go to a city with a shard attatched to it, it will highlight the differences between the lower-tier building and the higher-tier one.  For shards, the bonus goes from +1 mana > +2 mana, with elemental power remaining the same.  Thus, the net bonus from shard upgrades is +1 mana income per tier, per shard.

i did some testing and i'm pretty sure it's from the "binding" faction trait.

empires/kingdoms without the trait display all shard improvements

kingdom faction with binding displays only the life shrine/altar/temple at the appropriate tech, none of the others

empire faction with binding (including default Resoln) doesn't have life shrines, so it doesn't display anything at all.

Great find Azunai!

But it's still a bug, as obviously you're researching the upgrades with immortal codex and ereog's journal :) The should be displayed :)
