Audio bridge cuts out

Multiplicity 2 Secondary computer audio drops out (Payed version)

2 Windows 8 Machines 64Bit.

Both machines are connected to a router so they are on a private 192.168.x.x network

Using encryption between the machines

Multiplicity 2 works perfectly visually and with mouse.

Secondary Machine: Google Chrome www.hulu.com

I am getting a lot of audio drops, where I hear a BEEP, similar to call waiting on a phone.

I then lose all audio from the secondary machine.  It doesn't seem to reconnect automatically, where if I just let hulu keep going it would fix itself.

I have to stop hulu playback and then after a few false starts it starts playing audio again, only to drop out again at random times.

When you lose audio, do you also lose the ability to mange the sending \ receiving Multiplicity machine (mouse to, copy, paste, etc)?

Everything still works.  It just cut out and I can move the mouse back and forth.  I just cut and pasted some text from primary to secondary. I also cut and pasted some text from secondary to primary.

It just seems to be an audio thing.

Any update on this.  It is really bad lately and I am about a day away from just scrapping this and getting a hardware audio bridge.  How in the world can the keyboard and mouse work flawlessly and the audio connect so defect riddled?

Your problems are not something I can recall being reported before.  The closest was an issue with some Windows 8 machines with the very first release build where Windows 8 would prevent reliable audio sending unless Windows Media Player was open due to a small OS change, but this was addressed in a MP update and there were no call waiting like beeps, any issues with MP audio are likely to be very obvious audio clicks and not something nice like a beep.

Firstly make sure you have the latest version of Multiplicity installed on both machines.  You can obtain the latest from the my downloads section of the store

Secondly try increasing the buffering setting on the sending computer.  This will mess up lip sync badly if you set it to the far right, but this will help you detect what the problem is.

Thirdly are you sure Hulu is actually continuing to play audio?  I ask because Multiplicity sound automatically reconnects in the event of network connection loss without any interaction and nothing you do with playing audio will impact this.

Is the network wired or wireless?  When audio stops does the speaker icon on the taskbar change from the muted icon?
