Jump list cleaning bug

I've been using Start8 from early versions and i noticed a bug that has not yet been fixed.

This is how to reproduce the bug (you're supposed to have at least 1 recently used item in the jump list):

- right click on taskbar

- click on properties

- click on jump list tab

- uncheck both privacy settings and click on apply

- check again both privacy settings and click on apply

- click on start button: all items are still there (when they're supposed to have been cleared!)

- let start menu disappear and click again on start button, now all items are finally gone

So basicly you need to make start menu appear twice after clearing recents, to see recents disappear from start menu.

Hope it will be fixed in next releases.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks, your post helped to get rid of the jump list items i do not want in programs pinned to the taskbar.

So, same jere with above items...

It is really frustrating that after over 1 year i've been reporting this bug, it hasnt yet been fixed at all. The "recently opened items" list gets properly cleared, but the "recently opened programs" list still needs to open, close and open again the Start Menu to see the items disappear after clearing the list in the Taskbar properties > Jump Lists options.

I am still struggling to see why this is a major concern.

Are you clearing it that often and if so why?

End of Neil's quote

Yes, i clear them almost every day. And, ok, this might not be a major concern, and it certainly doesnt make Start8 addon unusable, but that's still a bug that i have to face every day and i dont understand why it's so hard and takes so long to fix it :-/

After more than one year and a half this bug is still not fixed. Wondering if it will ever be...

i admit there's a problem there for the devs to fix. but who clears the jumplists or recently used programs like that every day ?

frankly i think its a bit much.

unless you don't want someone looking at the pr0n you look at lol,

At very least use a program like ccleaner & learn to automate it at startup.

lol clearing jumplists on a daily basis lol
