I'm doing OK at the moment. Interesting event. My in-laws live next door, which is ok because they are really nice folks and we get along well. Yesterday, my Brother-in-law and his family moved in with the parents. They brought their Great Dane (an absolute horse of a dog, scaring the S*** out of my little doggies...they'll get over that). They also brought 2 kids, one a freshman in high school (he's an ok kid, has some rather negative attitudes toward school though, which I don't want him sharing. So far my 5th, 6th and 9th grade kids love school and are doing very well) and they brought a little kindergarten age girl. She is an absolute terror. I've never seen anything quite like it. Ever. So, new invasion of privacy and all kinds of other things. I suppose I'll eventually get used to it, but for right now...Ugh.

I realize some of that rambled a bit. Sorry.

Hey, I understand. My Mother-in law is visiting, my grandson is here and my pregnant daughter(un married). What a mess. At least the grandson will go home tonite and the MinL will leave next Sunday. I'am a nervous wreck.

I hope you can keep your kids with a positive attitude towards school. The reward will pay off for them, even thou they might not know it now. I hope your deal is temporary as mine is.

I think that they are going to be here for months! They are all going to England for Christmas for a month and I don't think that they will be looking for their own accomodations until they get back. They both quit their jobs, pulled their kids out of school at the end of the first 6 weeks and moved on over here from Louisiana. The parents are going to go out looking for jobs in the same job market that has been pushing me away for months. If they get jobs, they are just going to leave when time comes to go overseas and then look for another job when they get back. He's just retired from USAF as some sort of Sergeant so he probably won't have any problem at all getting a job here. The local workforce agency bends over backwards to get jobs for vets (which is as it should be). It kinda bugs me that these guys will get jobs and then quit them while I can't even find a job. Personal problem
