[Bug][.80] Negative Tribute

Just happened to take a gander at the Economy tab of my Govern window. I'm in a random Small map game, originally with 3 enemies (I have streamrolled two of them so far), and because I wanted to tech up farther, rather than just win early, I beat the last AI down to one city and then let them beg me for peace.

So, as a result of that demolishing I did, the third AI (Resoln) is making negative Gildar (aka losing money aka negative cash flow). They decided to give me tribute (I really hate how offered tribute is still called a "Demand" from me in game), with some up front. But the economy tab shows me making -.4 G per turn from their "tribute". Which means I'm being tributed 10% of their "earnings" of -3.9 G/turn... which is costing me money.

If only I could get my credit card company to figure interest this way...  ;P

This sounds like a really good way to troll the AI early on. Since they have huge power scores and look down on you, just offer them tribute when you have negative income. This will improve your relationship with them. Now, offer them resources at high prices and increase your per turn debt. Rinse and repeat!

Now you are draining the treasury of a heap of AI players in addition to your own.

This is a bug since FE, not specific to .80.

Still hoping it will get fixed.

I will offer them -20 gpt and increase inflation XD

So, if you have a negative GPT and offer tribute to 11 AIs, does that bump you up into positive GPT? :erk:

End of Lokitako's quote

It's a pretty simple fix.

If (income <=0){can't offer tribute}

else

{existing code}
