Feature Request

Rescaling of windowed Modern apps

I'm loving ModernMix (and Start8) so far!  THANKS for making it!

Feature request:

1. I'm not quite sure how to describe this, but here it goes: Would it be possible to change the "zoom level" within a Modern app?  E.g. allow resize to change the size of the window without changing how many pixels the app is drawing to?  Well, probably allow change of zoom independently of window size.

EXAMPLE:

See image immediately below for how the Calendar looks full-screen (this was taken from Calendar in a ModernMix window maximized on the destop).  For my monitor (21") all of the fonts are substantially larger than necessary.  But even so, the display is fairly reasonable and nicely shows my calendar.  (Original image was 1600x1137)

 Calendar (Full Screen)

Now, here's the Calendar widowed, but with window made smaller.  In this case, the huge fonts used from the full-screen version make the resized version kind of useless.  Most Modern apps seem to share this issue (Weather, People, Store, ...).  That is, they'd work fine in a smaller window if they were also rescaled to fit that window, rather than just simply told to draw into a smaller area.

Calendar (Windowed)

Likely, the rescaling would have to be somewhat independent of the resizing.  Maybe not--it's hard to tell without a prototype.  And that's even if its possible for ModernMix to fool with Modern apps in this fashion.  It would be really cool if it could, though!

Thanks!

I'd also like to be able to resize the contents of the window, rather than the window itself, using Ctrl Scroll Up/Down.

Thanks.

As Modern apps are only written to be three sizes (full screen, 2/3, 1/3 (aprox.)) I'm not sure what can be done.  I know using some games the images resize to fill the window . . but that may be accidental.

I wasn't sure if ModernMix was doing any buffering of the presentation, in which case plain scaling would be feasible.  Bummer, because it sure would be nice!
