As a new player, this is extremely frustrating.

I've spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out simple things like how the hell Dances with Dragons works (what damn monument are they talkinga bout) and where the hell to find the Leht staff (it is NOT under Arcane weapons, NOR in the shop and YES I do have both end game techs researched, arcane weapons and the other one, and how the HELL was I supposed to know we needed to research those?)

 

The wiki is scarce on information for a ton of things and I'm left trawling through forum posts hoping that someone might of answered the question I had in mind. This game has been out for so long, why is the wiki so bare bones? I'm reluctant to do more quests or get exotic tech because its just so do-it-yourself.

I don't know if the manual will help you, but if you haven't, give it a go. Some things are poorly documented and may always be. Is your Leht Staff problem retracted like the problem you had with Enchanters? There is an in-game manual of sorts which helps you but I cannot remember how to access it.

Things like Dances with Dragons (or any unlock that generates free units) needs a resource on the map to use. Which heavily reduces their general usefulness. If you have a dragon nest thing it can be a nice research to get.

Maybe most of the people who have the deepest knowledge base are busy making mods and things so there's no one to update the wikis! I had a look for alternates. Usually there is a Wikia of sorts that's better than the traditional wiki. But the closest thing I've found is http://orcz.com/Category:Fallen_Enchantress which doesn't contain many specifics. Just post a big questions thread if you really need help.
