LH [0.50] Pathing bug

Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes Beta

I am not sure if we are allowed to record/post videos of the Beta. I assume it is ok. Besides I feel a video of the bug is more helpful?
If it is not allowed let me know and I will remove it asap.

that's weird.  I haven't experienced that one yet.  thanks for the video.  that should really help the devs.

happened to me many times.

However, i start to realize that frequent loading of a game and frequent auto-save causes a game to really go crazy after couple hours.

I now quick save game at the end of a turn, and do not auto-save it, and stability improved a lot.

The pathing bug seems to happen quite often. Even in open areas. I click a spot, and it randomly picks a different location on the map.

The erratic movement shown in your video looks like what the boats often do in the senario. I could fix the boat path-ing by toggling the "explore" button until the ships behave properly. MAYBE,PERHAPS, its the same bug, and you can [temporally]fix it in your game by playing with the 'explore' button for the unit in question?

what it looks like is happening to me is that that unit is in "auto-explore" mode while you are trying to move it manually as well. This is a failing on our part in that we aren't displaying to you properly that the unit is auto-exploring. Also after manually moving it should probably cancel explore mode anyways. I'll forward it on.

Just get rid of auto-explore.  It doesn't make any sense in a game where the unexplored portions of the map are absolutely lethal.  In FE/LH the "explore" command really means go off and die somewhere.

You would think, but no, it's off. I have had several games where this behavior happens. Also, I never use "explore".

But while we are on the subject, the "explore" button needs a better indication if it is on or off. Perhaps a green "halo" like the "Turn" button gets.

yea, I'm gonna make sure we put that in on auto-explore... and some other little improvements (like it cancelling when you move a guy). Once those are in, let me know if you ever see that happen again as I cant figure out why else that would happen... keep in mind you might have put him into explore mode without clicking the button (there is a hotkey for it: x)

I can't watch the video, I'm at work and it's blocked.  Don't judge me.  Anyways, one crazy fucking thing with pathing I have noticed for a very long time and have posted is this.  If I have an army made from a hero and several units, and this army enters a city.  If I then select one of the units to move out of the city, it will move to the area I told it to go and then try to run back to the hero.  This only occurs I believe if I have won a battle with this army.  It's like they have become very attached to their champion.  Has anyone else seen this?  Also, some times when I attack and defeat a city, only my leader enters it and the rest of my troops are stuck outside and no longer grouped together.  Anyone else experience this stuff?  I have for a very long time and kind of surprised it has never been fixed.
