DeskSacpes was working with old win 8 64bit install - now not working after fresh install

I choose to do the win 8 "reinstall and keep your personal files option" and after installing Deskscapes again the application will not play the dreams. The background changes to the video, plays for a second and then the video freezes as if it was paused, but the paused menu does not show that the video is paused. Not sure what is going on... any ideas?

Probably one of two things....you now are not on the same video driver....and/or you have codecs missing which are needed to run the video/graphics...;)

Interesting... after I installed iTunes I now have my dreamscenes working again :) Not sure why iTunes needed to be installed.... my guess is since this is not a complete fresh install some of my files left behind are config files that point to certain codecs... the codec was not there until iTunes was installed... just a theory... not sure how to verify that :)
