Windowed full modern UI start screen ??

Brilliant brilliant brilliant program ! It made the news everywhere. Now 2 questions;

1- will it be possible to launch the entire modern UI start menu in a regular window too ? (the way it should have been)

2- using Start8, will modern UI app selection can open in regular windows too ?

This is a giant step for Windows 8 adoption. Now if you can bring back Aero you just open the flood to massive Windows 8 adoption. Be sure to ask Microsoft part of their profit because you finally did window 8 right.

Yes, it would be nice to able to have the Start Screen windowed as well.

That way, we could do other things while still being able to view Live Tiles such as news and weather etc.

why not a windows 8 start screen desktop? You would have the taskbar, the start button and the ability to choose the start screen as the desktop. An unified package...

actually, display fusion does it pretty nicely when you press the start button, it opens the metro UI in only the corner of the screen (with adjustable sizes)

apologies if mentioning this 'competitor' breaks any rules..., but you could see what there's looks like for 'inspiration'.

I believe that would be the same thing as the Stardock Start8 Windows 8 style menu mode which also comes with adjustable sizes.

ah havnt tried start8, i thought it was just a regular start menu like classic shell  or startisback

It is if you want, but you can have various configurations; it's flexible.

Then, you should try.

I have tried the 2 you mentioned above and Start8 leaves them both for dead.
