random Charms Bar & Metro screen

Start8 is pretty great, but I'm having a slight problem.

I've configured Start8 to disable everythng related to the Charms Bar, Hot Corners, etc. For no apparant reason, the Charms Bar will randomly pop out from the right side of the screen while I'm in the middle of something else (with my mouse nowhere near the right side of the screen). About half the time, it will then take me to the Metro screen and I have to use the Windows key to return to the Desktop UI.

Any help or advice is much appreciated.

Win+c would open the charms bar.

Also if you have a touchpad then some of them are configured to detect swipes on them to make the charms bar appear.

Thank you, thank you a thousand times over. That was driving me nuts. It's a Synaptics touchpad, and by default the swipe-related features were enabled. Disabled the swipe features, problem solved.

Please excuse my mistake. I'm a bit of a Win8 newbie.
