Icons SOO close together UGH!

Hi, I'm new to Fences.  I have Fences 2, Version 2.01 on a Windows 7 laptop.

My question is this:  I've created various Fences with my icons in them, however, the icons are soooooo close together and when I try to move an icon it just snaps RIGHT NEXT to the prior one.  I've tried going to "Configure Fences", "Layout and snapping" and "Snapping / spacing" and I've tried to UNCHECK the 3 boxes and CHECKING the boxes and neither does any good, I see NO difference in my icons.

HELP!

Thanks in advance!

Please share a screenshot.

Also, what size are you icons and what is your DPI set at?

I've tried making a copy of my desktop (alt, print screen) but unfortunately when I try to paste it in this screen it wasn't working so I can't do that.

In the meantime I changed the icon horizontal to "20" and a 1 point smaller font size and it looks a whole lot better.  I originally had my icons at "16" and thought that was too big, obviously not, at least not when it comes to Fences.

By the way, where would I find out about DPI?  Just curious.

Thanks for mentioning the icon size.

Please try making a screenshot with just Printscreen key (do NOT hold Alt).
Alt+Printscreen is meant for taking a screenshot of the ACTIVE window of a program, which the Desktop never is.
You can not paste the captured screenshot into your forum posts - you need to upload it to an image hosting web site, such as Imageshack.us, Imgur, Tinypic/etc, then post a link to the uploaded image here.

JDiane, you have to upload images from a third party, IE, Photobucket. No drag ndrop or copy and paste directly here. Just so you know down the road.
