Right-clicking in Start8 Menu causes Optimus to trigger Nvidia GPU

Hi, what can I add to the Nvidia Control Panel to stop Start8 from triggering the Nvidia GPU due to Optimus?

The mystery deepens: When I right-click on the folder links and shortcuts on the right side of the Start8 menu, the clicks are processed as normal. It's only when I right-click on the frequent programs' shortcuts on the LEFT side of the menu that the delay happens.

 

More mystery: the delay and triggering doesn't happen when I right-click on Metro apps in the frequent programs' list.

How do you know the nvidia gpu is being triggered?

I wouldn't expect a basic right click menu to trigger that as it is just a menu.
