Please add a Check for Updates feature

from Stardock Forums

It would be best if that feature was able to download & install the latest Fences 2.x upgrade.

But even a notice: "You have the latest version of Fences!" or a notice saying "There is a newer version available, please go to ... to download it" would be better than the current lack of this feature.

So you're suggesting we install yet another piece of software to help keep stardock stuff upgraded, when most other developers build that functionality right into each package?

This is why I tend to avoid devs with that mindset.  It eventually turns into a pseudo-DRM scenario.

Yes.  Stardock Central is the small-footprint answer to managing and updating the entire collection of Stardock applications rather than an updater 'plugin' for each and every program/product.

It's actually far more sensible...;)

However, I have ONLY purchased ONE product so far - Fences.
So, it does not seem sensible to me, although it will maybe be sensible for customers who use 2-3+ Stardock products.
