new icons overlapping on desktop

I'm using Fences 2.1

Every new file is created on the desktop (either via download or saving a file) it goes on the top right corner of my screen where I use to place my Adobe programs. It's my place, so I rather not to change them. The thing is that, despite I have much space on the desktop, the icons are overlapping and this is very tedius!

I've seen that in my other pc (this is a 17.3' laptop) with a big monitor icons are saved in the central part of the desktop, which is ok, but lets me think that it's a random option.

Can you help me solving this problem on my laptop?

Please help. I know I can select a specific field for new files but even if it works this is not THE solution to the problem

Do you have Fences 2.1 or 2.01?
What OS on the two PCs?
