Enemy has cast Grip of Winter on me, it has effected ALL of my cities, including ones I have conquered recently. Can't build or train units, has been the case for about 50ish turns and no end in site, nor can I find the initial city that was targeted by the enemy. Ideas? Thanks!
I have never had ti happen to me. Sounds crappy. It is supposed to affect all cities. I would guess, as you have also, you would need to dispel it on the original city. Does it show up in the ledger maybe? On the enchantments list........best guess.

I know this is months out of date... but.
I'm having the same problem - I can't find the dispel spell in the magic research tree - i've researched the whole of all 3 trees and am now researching the repeatable options as there is nothing else left... I'm playing the first scenario... Is dispel enchantments not allowed in the first scenario?
I have looked at the Mana system and looked through all Enchantments and found that an enemy mage cast Winters Grip on ONE of my towns... There is no option to dispel it. In the mana drop down bar or the city detail screen. It is affecting ALL my cities and I can't figure out how break the Enchantment. No building and no training is going to mean an eventual loss for the scenario and I've put 3 days play into it...

As a matter of interest are you also playing an Scenario? as it may just be some spells are disabled in that Scenario by accident or design?
I'm enjoying the game, except for this bug (if it is a bug) - i think it needs an extra spell - enchant artifact (ala MoM) to enchant artifacts for heroes so they are on a par with Paladins etc at higher level... but that is just me... Lots of new art work the ability to Enchant items as a Stem DLC for the Game, I'd pay for that. 
Ditto. Just got the game yesterday, and played the Scenario. Had Grip of Winter cast on me, and now...presto, it can't be dispelled my any means known to me. I tried everything I could.
Isn't the spell under the magic tree under sorcery called "Dispel Enchantment"? Should that not show up in your magic book once you've researched the tech called Sorcery (Tier 2 Magic)
Yep you're correct - after the latest patch the spell did turn up and casting it on a city that wasn't affected by the actual curse changed it for me so that I could build and train again. (casting it on the city with the curse didn't remove it for some reason) I had everything trained through all trees and the dispel spell wasn't there
not sure if it was a bug - or the spell had accidentally been left out of the scenario or something... whatever it was must have been a pretty rare bug as not many people seem to have experienced it...
