Fences Not Loading On Sartup

Running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.

 

Fences will not load until I enter the fences config menu, at which point they appear. Until I do that, scrolling over my fence will not yield any results.

 

My fence is set to be invisible unless scrolled over, if that matters.

I am having the identical problem.  Except the fences do not show up until I right click on the desktop (configure Fences does not show up on the menu), but it then loads and fences begins to work.

 

Running Windows 7 Pro Service Pak 1 32-Bit

Fences 1 is not designed for Windows 8. Make sure you have updated.
