Recently used applications bug

I really like Start8, but the recently used applications feature has been acting strangely. Sometimes applications that I have been using a lot no longer appear. Then if I use it once or twice then it goes right back into the recently used application list. Some applications such as Command Prompt never show. On Windows 7 and earlier, it took a long time for applications to show on the list, but once they showed, they stayed there until you removed them. I really depend on this feature and wondered if anyone else has had this problem. Or has this been addressed in the new beta version?

I had the same problem with v1.03 and v1.09.2 beta. The newest RC (released just today) should have taken care about this issue. In the changelog it states: 'Additional workaround for slow recent apps list population due to Windows defender bug'. I was very happy and installed the RC only to see that it has no impact on the problem. The recent used applications list still won't works for me :( Does it works for you?

The comment in the log was about an unrelated issue.

We are still investigating this bug report.  It would be useful if you are able to save the keys from

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\UserAssist

and send the file support@stardock.com and post the ticket ID you get in return here so we can easily locate it.

It would also be useful if you identify which apps are not showing in the list but should be and which apps you would expect to see top of the list as part of your mail to support.
