I just recently got a new computer with windows 8 and tried playing a new mod i got for sins of a solar empire rebellion. I downloaded the file and dropped it into Rebellions mod folder. When i launched the game and went to activate the mod I could not find it in the mod list. Ive tried multiple mods but none of them show up.
help?
Did you extract the mod so that it shows up as a normal folder? The mods list is populated by the folders in the mod folder. The other thing it could be is you have the wrong mod folder, hit the "Show Mod Path" button to find out what your mod folder is and if it doesn't exist it will create the folder then.
GAH!! what a stupid mistake. I forgot to download Winrar to exract the file.

Lots of mods now use 7z to archive, and 7z opens all types of archives and it's FREE.
I have a windows 8 and found my Steam folder and rebellion folder but didn't see a mods folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion I am guessing I either missed it, or am in the completely wrong place. Thanks for your help!
Wait, I'm an idiot, I found it through "show mod path" thanks anyways!
