As explained in reply to your previous post, Microsoft have not blocked Start8.

Should you encounter any problems with Start8 you should make sure you have the latest version installed.  This can be obtained directly from Stardock from the My Downloads section of the store, or by downloading the latest trial.

NO THEY ARE NOT

Pirate copies may have stopped working, but trust me Start8 continues to work just fine on Windows 8.

There is one minor issue with the original 1.0 build (vs the later ones) where a reboot may be required on initial install if you use a 64 bit version before the menu will open, but once rebooted all is well.

I install all version on two diffrent computers with fresh Windows 8 with all updates. Default style doesn't WORK!

Then you need to contact support because the problem you are having is not being caused by Microsoft blocking anything.

You should install 1.03 or 1.09 beta 2 (downloadable from this forum).

I double checked this myself just now on 32 and 64 bit versions and Start8 works just fine.

This version works: https://stardock.cachefly.net/Start8_1.09.2_beta_setup.exe TY for help.

I am glad that helps.  1.03 downloaded from Stardock would also have worked just fine.

Blocked?  What is blocked?  I have had no issues with this app being blocked.

All good here...   :D

Obviously there is some other issue at play here since my Start8 has worked fine (every version I have tried) with my Windows 8. I would also suggest using the newest version of Start8. Again...working fine here and no way I would run Windows 8 without Start8.
