Low quality images/building icons

from GalCiv2 Forums

Hi. 

While most of the game runs beautifully (in 1920 by 1200), some icons show up as really low res.

(Hopefully I've inserted it correctly) See the image below.

Is there something I can do to fix this?

Nope.  Unless you can find new art to go in place of the existing icons, that is.

Some of the improvement icons are 64x64, the rest are 128x128.

This is because some of those icons are low res. The only way to fix this, is to make higher resolution versions of the images.

Well that's a headscratcher. 

Think there's any chance Stardock'd release the original models for this?

You'd think these'd be updated when the newer ones were added in.

BoogieBac (the artist) wanted to look into it, but other work got in the way.

Well, thanks all the same.

 

I'm reading through the forums now and am seeing some mods, so maybe there's something there.
